Conducerea Ministerului Educaţiei solicită inspectoratelor şcolare judeţene să asigure, marţi, 5 iunie, sărbătorirea Zilei Învăţătorului în toate unităţile de învăţământ, prin organizarea unor manifestări adecvate, care să pună în valoare tradiţia şi împlinirile şcolii româneşti. Ministrul Educaţiei, Liviu Pop, şi secretarul de stat pentru învăţământ preuniversitar, Stelian Fedorca, au subliniat în adresa transmisă în teritoriu că, începând cu 2013, ministerul intenţionează să includă cele mai interesante propuneri ale cadrelor didactice în planul naţional al acţiunilor dedicate Zilei Învăţătorului. În acest sens, în urma dezbaterilor din unităţile de învăţământ, inspectoratele şcolare vor transmite ministerului cinci exemple de activităţi propuse de cadrele didactice, care pun cel mai bine în evidenţă specificul acestui eveniment.
